Foundation Activities

Daryl, Hannah, & Coach Mizo make a short presentation in San Diego at the J.O. Olympics.
The Ricky Deci Memorial Foundation will be supporting a Developmental camp this summer for 12 gymnasts spread across three competition classes. The Foundation is privileges to support this worth while endeavor.

Above are the Foundation board Members: Hideo "Mizo" Mizoguchi (Ricky's Coach), Juli Fournier (atty) and Rev. Kip Gilts

The Board Members met on April 14th and agreed to support several deserving causes that would be consistent with Ricky's own ministry.

Ft. Bend libraries - providing funding for gymnastic video tapes. The tapes are being researched at this time.

Upward Basketball - The Foundation is funding an account that will provide scholarships to those who can not afford to participate otherwise. Administered by First United Methodist Church of Sugarland

Support has been given to Casey Cease who was Ricky's youth minister who is now giving speeches at schools and often relates Ricky's story.
Ricky Deci Memorial Developmental Camp - Funding is being allocated to begin the this camp that would touch 12 gymnasts by providing a camp at the Olympic Training Center and pay for the Coaches who will provide the training..

Those who knew Ricky were aware that he had received a level of celebrity that he carried so humbly. Ricky had already started to sign pictures, Ricky Deci Phil. 4:13. "For I can do everything gods asks me to with the help of Christ who give me the strength and power." Ricky welcomed the opportunity to pass on his message and present himself as an example to others.

For those who wish to contribute at this time we are asking that donations be made payable to the Ricky Deci Memorial Foundation. While his dream of sharing his message at the Olympics will not occur we are confident that God has an alternate method. We feel that the Foundation will carry Ricky's message for years to come as compared to one day of glory in 2008.

We the family of Ricky feel honored and blessed to have had 13 spectacular years with him.
